Laboratory of
Resource-Saving Technologies

  • ABOUT
The Resource-Saving Technologies Laboratory (RSTL) focuses on the design, synthesis, and functionalization of advanced nanomaterials using sustainable, green, and resource-efficient approaches for biological, environmental, and energy applications. By integrating green chemistry principles with chemical and physical synthesis methods, the laboratory develops high-performance functional materials aimed at addressing global challenges related to pollution control, healthcare, and energy sustainability. We works on emerging research directions include nanomaterials, layered double hydroxides (LDHs), metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), MXenes-MOFs hybrid systems, and multifunctional nanocomposites, with particular emphasis on MWCNTs/reduced graphene oxide-metal oxide hybrid nanostructures for next-generation applications in environmental remediation, biomedicine, catalysis, sensing, green energy, conversions and biomedical applications.
The laboratory focus on the advancement of eco-friendly synthesis strategies, including plant-mediated methods, biological waste–derived routes, and solvent-free fabrication processes that minimize toxic chemicals, energy use, and environmental impact. The laboratory is actively exploring the valorization of biological waste to produce carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and graphene oxide (GO), enabling low-cost and sustainable nanocarbon technologies. Through interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and sustainable innovation, RSTL strives to deliver scalable and environmentally responsible nanotechnological solutions.
