Local scientific collaboration

On January 13, a collaborative meeting was held between our institute’s team and the Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Dr. Jamoliddin Razzokov delivered a presentation highlighting the institute’s core activities, international collaborations, and the physical foundations of cold atmospheric plasma technologies, along with their applications in the biosciences. In addition, Dr. Sirajul Haq presented his research results under the title “From Green Synthesis to Functional Nanocomposites: Advanced Materials for Environmental and Biomedical Applications.”

As a result of the scientific discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the parties. Furthermore, agreements were reached to initiate joint research in the following four key scientific areas:

  • - Nanocomposite materials for water treatment and antibacterial applications
  • - Polymer processing and functionalization using non-thermal plasma
  • - Synthesis and investigation of carbon-based nanostructures
  • - Advanced computer simulations, including Density Functional Theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics, to gain deeper insight into reactions occurring on nanostructures

Additionally, the Director of the Institute, Prof. Abdumutalib Atakhanov, introduced the participants to the institute’s laboratories, modern scientific equipment, and ongoing fundamental and applied research activities.

This collaboration marks an important step toward the integration of scientific expertise, the development of innovative materials, and the advancement of research focused on practical and applied solutions.
