We are delighted to announce that Professor Ahmadjon Abdujabbarov (h-index 48 in Web of Science and Scopus), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, has officially joined our team at the Institute for Fundamental and Applied Research!
Professor Abdujabbarov brings an exceptional record of scientific achievement, including being awarded the "Shuhrat" medal in 2021 and recognition as the "Best Young Researcher" by Web of Science in 2017. In 2018, he was elected as a member of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) youth section, and in 2025 became a corresponding member of Core Academy (Hong Kong, China) . His outstanding contributions to science have also earned him the Scopus award for the best scientist in engineering and technology in 2019.
Professor Abdujabbarov's research focuses on fundamental problems in theoretical physics
and astrophysics, with key interests including:
- Relativistic astrophysics and general relativity
- Electrodynamics and compact astrophysical objects
- Gravitational theory and its applications
His extensive publication record includes over 220 scientific articles in prestigious Q1 and Q2 journals, including Physical Review D, Physical Review Letters, European Physical Journal C, and Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. He has also authored 1 monograph and 2 textbooks.
Professor Abdujabbarov has led numerous fundamental research projects since 2010 and has been the principal investigator for prestigious international grants from organizations such as DAAD, TWAS, ICTP, Volkswagen, Erasmus+, and PIFI-CAS. He has also served as a reviewer for more than 30 international scientific journals. Under his supervision, 10 PhD candidates and 3 Doctor of Science candidates have successfully defended their dissertations.
His extensive international collaboration experience includes prestigious institutions such as the TATA Institute of Fundamental Research (India) , the Max Planck Institute (Germany) , the Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany) , Fudan University (China) , and Silesian University (Czech Republic) . Since 2024, he has been serving as a visiting professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (China) .
