The Director of the Institute of Fundamental and Applied Research (IFAR), Dr. Jamoliddin Razzokov, is currently undertaking a research visit to the School of Physics at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China, from May 25 to June 3, 2026.
During the first days of the visit, Dr. Razzokov delivered a series of scientific presentations highlighting the latest achievements of IFAR in plasma science and its applications. The presentations covered ongoing research activities in plasma agriculture, environmental applications of plasma technologies, and other interdisciplinary research directions being developed at the institute.
The visit included extensive scientific discussions with HIT researchers, providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share research experiences, and explore potential areas of collaboration. The delegations also visited advanced research laboratories and became acquainted with the state-of-the-art experimental facilities available at the School of Physics.
As an important outcome of the meetings, the parties reached an agreement to initiate joint research activities in several plasma-related fields. Future cooperation is expected to include collaborative scientific projects, researcher exchanges, joint publications, and the development of international research proposals.
This visit represents another significant step in strengthening IFAR’s international scientific partnerships and expanding cooperation with one of the world's leading technical universities. The collaboration is expected to contribute to the advancement of plasma science and foster innovative research outcomes beneficial to both institutions.
