Dr. Jamoliddin Razzokov is in the Nederlands: On a Scientific Visit to Eindhoven University of Technology

🔬 I’m currently on a research visit at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). The university has an impressive annual budget of $350 million, with nearly $100 million coming from industry collaborations 💼💡.

🌍 TU/e ranks 85th in the world for engineering, and holds strong positions overall:

Over the past 12 years, the campus has expanded significantly. Due to the growing demand for engineers, the number of incoming students is increasing each year.

👨‍🔬 I had the pleasure of reconnecting with my former scientific supervisor, Prof. Paul van der Schoot, a leading expert in Theory of Polymers and Soft Matter. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as Science (IF-47), Nature Nanotechnology (IF-38), and JACS (IF-14.5).

We had a long and insightful conversation over lunch and dinner, discussing a wide range of scientific and personal topics. We were both pleased to reconnect, especially since there are now only a few of the PhD and postdoc researchers we once worked with.

📢 I also gave a presentation to his research group on our recent studies on plasma-based cancer therapy, as well as ongoing projects at our institute. The Q&A session was very engaging. 🇺🇿 To add a sweet touch, I treated everyone to Kokand halva, a traditional Uzbek dessert — it was a big hit! 😊 🔧 I also had a productive conversation with Ana Sobota, who specializes in plasma reactor design and operation. We agreed to initiate a collaboration in the near future. 🔍 Overall, the visit has been very constructive and inspiring. We continue to build bridges through science! 🌐🤝
