Three-Month Research Visit by IFAR PhD Student to Czech Republic

We are pleased to announce that Pahlavon Yovkochev, a PhD student at the Institute of Fundamental and Applied Research (IFAR), will undertake a three-month scientific research stay at Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic, from 20 October 2025 to 20 January 2026.

During his stay at the Institute of Physics in Opava, Pahlavon will collaborate with leading scientists, including Martin Kološ, to further develop his ongoing research in the field of relativistic astrophysics. His project focuses on “Charged particle dynamics in rotating monopole Blandford–Znajek black hole magnetosphere”, a topic that contributes to a deeper understanding of energetic processes in the vicinity of compact astrophysical objects such as black holes.

This research stay will provide Pahlavon with the opportunity to engage in scientific discussions, participate in seminars, and collaborate on finalizing a manuscript for submission to a Q1 scientific journal. The collaboration with Czech researchers began last year and has already yielded promising results in the study of black hole magnetospheres and related energy extraction mechanisms.

International academic exchanges of this kind play a crucial role in strengthening scientific cooperation, enhancing research capacity, and fostering the development of young scientists. We look forward to the outcomes of this collaboration and the valuable experience it will bring to both institutions.
